Arshdeep Singh held his nerve as India ended their Super 4 campaign in the 2025 Asia Cup with a thrilling Super Over win against Sri Lanka in Dubai.

Batting first after Sri Lanka chose to field, India posted a strong 202/5, powered by Abhishek Sharma’s blistering 61 off 31 balls, Sanju Samson’s 39 and an unbeaten 49 from Tilak Varma.

Sri Lanka replied with an equally spirited chase as Pathum Nissanka smashed a superb 107 and Kusal Perera added 58, taking their side to 202/5 and forcing a rare Asia Cup Super Over despite their elimination from the tournament.

In the tiebreaker, Arshdeep Singh bowled a brilliant over conceding just two runs, before Suryakumar Yadav calmly sealed India’s win with a boundary, keeping India unbeaten heading into the final.

India 202 for 5 (Abhishek 61, Tilak 49, Theekshana 1-36) tied with Sri Lanka 202 for 5 (Nissanka 107, Perera 58, Kuldeep 1-31, Varun 1-31) India won the Super Over.
