Hope, Campbell centuries make India sweat: 2nd Test, Day 4 (Delhi)

Shai Hope amd John Campbell struck rare centuries on Indian soil in the second Test on Day 4 in Delhi.

After trailing by 270 runs on the first innings, the visitors showed spirit through opener John Campbell, who struck a defiant 115—his first Test century in 23 years for a West Indies opener in India.

Despite his effort, regular wickets to Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj restricted the West Indies to a modest second-innings lead. Greaves and Seales put on a defiant 79 for the last wicket.

India were left chasing only 121 for victory and reached 63 for 1 at stumps, with K L Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal steadying the chase.

India now need just 58 runs on the final day to complete a dominant 2-0 series sweep.

India 518 for 5 dec and 63 for 1 (Sai Sudharsan 30*, Rahul 25*, Warrican 1-15) need a further 58 runs to beat West Indies 248 and 390 (Campbell 115, Hope, 103, Greaves 50*, Bumrah 3-44, Kuldeep 3-104).
