Soumya, Saif dominate Windies as Bangladesh win series: 3rd ODI (Mirpur)

Soumya Sarkar hit a rapid fifty as Bangladesh produced a commanding performance to crush West Indies by 179 runs in the third ODI at Mirpur, sealing the series 2–1.

Batting first, the hosts amassed 296 for 8, built on a brilliant 91 from Soumya Sarkar and an elegant 80 by Saif Hassan, who added 152 runs for the opening wicket. Despite a late collapse, Bangladesh’s total proved far beyond the visitors’ reach.

In reply, West Indies faltered badly against disciplined spin and pace, collapsing to 117 all out in just 30.1 overs. Nasum Ahmed (3 for 11) and Rishad Hossain (3 wickets) led the bowling onslaught, while the fielding remained sharp throughout.

The emphatic win capped a dominant display from Bangladesh, who bounced back strongly after losing the previous game to claim the series in style.

Bangladesh 296 for 8 (Sarkar 91, Saif 80, Hosein 4-41) beat West Indies 117 (Hosein 27, Nasum 3-11, Rishad 3-54) by 179 runs.
