Shadab, Farhan inspires Pakistan win over Sri Lanka: 1st T20 (Dambulla)

Pakistan took a 1–0 lead in the T20I series after a comfortable six-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the 1st T20I at Dambulla.

Asked to bat first, Sri Lanka were bundled out for 128 in 19.2 overs, with Janith Liyanage top-scoring amid regular wickets as Pakistan’s spinners, led by Shadab Khan, kept tight control.

In reply, Pakistan chased the target with ease, anchored by Sahibzada Farhan’s fluent half-century, reaching 129/4 in 16.4 overs to seal the match with plenty to spare.

Pakistan 129 for 4 (Farhan 51, Ayub 24, de Silva 1-4) beat Sri Lanka 128 (Liyanage 40, Mirza 3-18, Abrar 3-25) by six wickets.
