2026 IPL final: Virat Kohli’s championship winning knock

Virat Kohli delivered an unforgettable IPL final performance, guiding Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their second consecutive title with an unbeaten 75 from 42 balls against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.

Chasing 156, Kohli combined aggression with composure, striking nine fours and three sixes as RCB cruised to 161/5 in 18 overs, sealing a five-wicket victory with two overs to spare.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans were held to 155/8 after being sent in to bat, with Washington Sundar top-scoring with an unbeaten 50. RCB’s bowlers kept the scoring in check throughout the innings, led by Rasikh Salam Dar’s excellent 3/27, while Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar provided crucial support.

Kohli’s match-winning knock earned him the Player of the Match award and capped another triumphant season for Bengaluru.
