Sanath bags triple ton, Lankans pile on record 952 (1997)
Sanath Jayasuriya made the record for the then highest Test score by a Sri Lankan when he scored 340 against India in 1997.

This effort was part of a second wicket partnership with Roshan Mahanama that set the then alltime record for any partnership in Test history with 576 runs.
Sri Lanka's total score of 952-6 is the current highest test score of all time.
