Michael Clarke extends lead with 135* (WACA)

After losing his Test spot following a string of poor performances, Michael Clarke was destined for a full domestic season of first class cricket until allrounder Shane Watson was injured before the 2006/07 Ashes series.

Out to prove he still has the ability which rocketed him into the public's eyes after a debut century against India in 2004, Clarke followed up his glorious Adelaide knock with another ton at Perth.

Despite being overshadowed by Adam Gilchrist, Clarke played a sublime knock filled with effortless drives and cuts and finished 135 not out after the declaration.

3rd Test, WACA 14 Dec 2006.
