Sir Donald Bradman was the skipper of the team that left Australian shores in 1948.
This was arguably the greatest team in cricket history.
After a five month, 34-match tour of the United Kingdom, including five Test matches against archrivals and traditional foe England, the Australian team returned to home soil undefeated. They were named as the ‘invincibles’.
