Final Day: Murali retires with historic 800th wicket (Galle)

Legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan reached the landmark of 800 Test wickets on the final day of his Test career.

Last man Ojha had resisted for 15 overs, but Mahela Jayawardena took his 157th Test catch to begin the Sri Lankan celebrations as Murali crossed a boundary that no one has been before with his 800th and final Test victim, a record that is unlikely to be ever broken.

1st Test, Galle. July 2010.
