Mendis 6-16 breaks record, dents Aussies pride: 2nd T20 (Pallekelle)

Ajantha Mendis made history as Sri Lanka completed a 2-0 series win over Australia with an exciting eight-run win.

The unorthodox finger spinner finished with 6-16 off four overs as Australia lost their way after an explosive start that was provided by Shane Watson, who hammered a 24-ball 57.

Earlier, Mahela Jayawardene made 86 but a superb spell of 3-14 by John Hastings restricted Sri Lanka to 157 for nine.
