Thisara cameo has Lankans in box seat: 3rd Test, Day 3 (Pallekele)

All rounder Thisara Perera backed up his four wickets with a late cameo of 75 off 86 balls as Sri Lanka seized control of the final Test.

Sri Lanka were in trouble at 236-7 when Perera and Kulasekara (33) snatched the initiative by adding 84 for the eighth. Pakistan were 1-27 in their second knock by stumps, losing opener Taufeeq Umar for four.

Pakistan 226 and 27 for 1 (Hafeez 8*, Azhar 6*) trail Sri Lanka 337 (Paranavitana 75, Perera 75, Samaraweera 73, Junaid 5-70) by 84 runs.
