Cook masterclass has England in charge: 1st Test, Day 1 (Oval)
Alastair Cook (144 not out) made a masterful century to give England the edge as they overcame the loss of captain Andrew Strauss in the first over to reach 267 for three.
After having established a partnership of 170 with Cook, Trott was dismissed for 71 by Morkel.
