Record McCullum ton shreds Bangladesh: ICC T20 WC R1 NZL v BAN (Pallekele)

Brendon McCullum notched the highest individual score of 123 (7 sixers and 11 fours) in Twenty20 international history to help New Zealand crush Bangladesh by 59 runs.

His stands of 94 and 78 with James Franklin and Ross Taylor respectively helped the Kiwis to 191-3.

An entertaining 37-ball half-century from all-rounder Nasir Hossain added some respectability but Bangladesh were never in the hunt closing on 132-8, with Kyle Mills taking 3-33.
