Tharanga and Mahela embarrass India: 2013 Tri-Nations No 3 IND v SRL (Jamaica)
A career-best innings by Man of the Match Upul Tharanga and a record-breaking 213-run partnership with Mahela Jayawardena (107) enabled Sri Lanka to crush India by 161 runs.
Tharanga scored a brilliant unbeaten 174 in just 159 balls. Chasing 349 to win, India needed to fire from the start but lost Rohit Sharma in the fifth over to a sharp catch and eventually folded for 187.
Sri Lanka 348 for 1 (Tharanga 174*, Jayawardene 107, Mathews 44*) beat India 187 (Jadeja 49*, Herath 3-37) by 161 runs.
