Series loss: Does team India care enough about test cricket?

Sunil Gavaskar said if India's players are not willing to fight it out in Test cricket, there is no point playing the format.

The former India captain was critical of the way some of MS Dhoni's men approached the Tests at Old Trafford and The Oval.

Gavaskar said their approach showed that they were not looking to improve and become better Test cricketers. However, Gavaskar and another former India cricketer, VVS Laxman lauded Dhoni and said he had tried hard enough to improve and hang in there for the sake of the side.
