Rohit smashed 264 off 173 balls with 33 fours and nine sixes as India posted 404 for five after winning the toss and batting first. His score alone would have won the match by 13 runs after Sri Lanka were all out in the 44th over for 251.

India 404 for 5 (Rohit 264, Kohli 66) beat Sri Lanka 251 (Mathews 75, Thirimanne 59, Kulkarni 4-34) by 153 runs.
