Latham, Ronchi lead Kiwi fightback: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Leeds)

James Anderson became the first England bowler to take 400 Test wickets as he induced a New Zealand top-order slump.

After tottering at 144-5, Tom Latham (84) and Luke Ronchi (88) rescued New Zealand to close on 297-8 on a rain-disrupted first day.

New Zealand 297 for 8 (Ronchi 88, Latham 84, Broad 3-83) v England.
