Du Plessis, Abbott thump Aussies for 4-0 lead: 4th ODI (Port Elizabeth)

Kyle Abbott (4-40), Tabraiz Shamsi and Aaron Phangiso took nine wickets between them as SA dismissed the visitors for 167 in 36.4 overs to ensure a crushing win that took South Africa to a 4-0 lead.

In reply, Faf du Plessis’ steady 69 took the hosts to 168/4 to secure the win with 14.3 overs to spare. 

South Africa 168 for 4 (du Plessis 69, Rossouw 33*) beat Australia 167 (Wade 52, Marsh 50, Abbott 4-40, Shamsi 3-36) by six wickets.
