South Africa surge ahead on Duminy, Elgar tons: 1st Test, Day 3 (Perth)

JP Duminy (141) and Dean Elgar (127) struck centuries as the pair combined for a record partnership to help South Africa post a commanding 390-6.

The overnight third-wicket partnership extended to 250 as Australia's attack toiled in hot weather as South Africa finished 388 ahead with 4 wickets in hand.

South Africa 242 and 6 for 390 (Duminy 141, Elgar 127) lead Australia 244 by 388 runs.
