South Africa collapse to Patel spin: 3rd Test, Day 4 (Hamilton)

New Zealand were on the cusp of posting a shock win after South Africa collapsed late in the day. The Proteas were 80 for five at stumps after spinner Jeetan Patel snapped up two quick wickets.

Earlier, Earlier, New Zealand were dismissed for 489 after Kane Williamson's 176 was supported by Mitchell Santner (41 from 151 balls) and Colin De Grandhomme (57 off 70 balls).

South Africa 314 and 80 for 5 (Du Plessis 15*, de Kock 15*, Patel 2-22) trail New Zealand 489 (Williamson 176, Raval 88, de Grandhomme , Morkel 4-100, Rabada 4-122) by 95 runs.
