Chase, Dowling fightback after Amir strikes: 1st Test, Day 1 (Jamaica)

A 118-run partnership for the 6th wicket between Roston Chase and Shane Dowrich rescued the West Indies on the opening day.

West Indies reached 244 for seven after strulgging at 71 for five. Mohammad Amir took 3 wickets in his opening burst to have the hosts on the backfoot after he removed Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope in quick succession.

West Indies 244 for 7 (Chase 63, Dowrich 56, Holder 30*, Bishoo 23*, Amir 3-28) v Pakistan.
