Fakhar, Amir blitz India as Pakistan win title: 2017 CT Final (Oval)

Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Amir were the stars as Pakistan destroyed arch-rivals India by 180 runs to win the Champions Trophy final.

Fakhar was caught off a no ball when on 3 and then smashed 114 as he and Azhar put on 128 for the 1st wicket. Pakistan posted an imposing 338 for four as Babar Azam chipped in with 46 and Mohammad Hafeez struck three sixes in a thrilling unbeaten 57.

Convicted match fixer Amir (3-16) rocked India to leave them at 33 for three. There was no recovery after India collapsed to 54/5. Hard hitting from number seven Hardik Pandya (76) got them to 158 as Hasan Ali took 3-19.

Title-holders India had thrashed Pakistan earlier by 124 runs in their tournament opener.

Pakistan 338 for 4 (Zaman 114, Azhar 59, Hafeez 57*) beat India 158 (Pandya 76, Amir 3-16, Hasan 3-19) by 180 runs.
