Babar, Shadab crush Sri Lanka after collapse: 2nd ODI (Abu Dhabi)

Babar Azam hit a second successive century and Shadab Khan delivered a strong all-round performance as Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 32 runs.

Babar smashed 101 while Shadab made a career-best unbeaten 52 to stage an incredible recovery from 101 for 6 to steer Pakistan to a fighting 219 for 9.

Shadab took 3 for 47 to dismiss Sri Lanka for 187 despite Upul Tharanga’s lone effort of 112 not out. Tharanga became the first captain in ODI history to carry the bat.

Pakistan 219 for 9 (Azam 101, Shadab 52*, Gamage 4-57, Thisara 2-34) beat Sri Lanka 187 (Tharanga 112*, Vandersay 22, Shadab 3-47) by 32 runs.
