Skipper Virat Kohli hit a double-century as India secured a first innings lead of 405 over Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma inflicted more punishment, celebrating his return to the Test team with a third Test hundred as India declared on 610-6.

Sri Lanka closed at 21-1 after losing Samarawickrema for a duck in the 2nd ball of the innings.
