Aussies regain Ashes after Hazlewood five: 3rd Test, Day 5 (Perth)

Paceman Josh Hazlewood took 5-48 as Australia successfully reclaimed the Ashes from England, taking the final six wickets required to wrap victory by an innings and 41 runs.

With rain delaying the start, Hazlewood was Australia’s stand out bowler as they took a 3-0 lead in the series. Only Dawid Malan (54) batted with any assurance on a wearing pitch.

Australia 9 for 662 dec (Smith 239, M Marsh 181, Khawaja 50, Anderson 4-116) beat England 403 (Malan 140, Bairstow 119, Stoneman 56, Starc 4-91, Hazlewood 3-92) and 218 (Vince 55, Malan 54, Hazlewood 5-48) by an innings and 41 runs.
