Markram ton dominates new look Aussies: 4th Test, Day 1 (J'burg)

Opener Aiden Markram plundered 152 off the new look Aussie team to help South Africa reach stumps on 313 for six.

Two wickets late on day one from debutant paceman Chadd Sayers gave Australia hope, but South Africa dominated the play in this deciding Test match with the series at 2-1 to the home team.

Markram was involved in two consecutive 50-run partnerships, first with Dean Elgar (19) and then with Hashim Amla (27) before combining with AB de Villiers (69) for 105 for the third wicket.

South Africa 313 for 6 (Markram 152, de Villiers 69, Cummins 3-53) v Australia.
