Hope, Nurse level series despite Kohli ton: 3rd ODI (Pune)

Shai Hope posted a fighting 95 and Ashley Nurse turned in a fine all round performance as the West Indies beat India by 43 runs to level the series 1-1.

After an early batting collapse, a blistering stand between Shai Hope (95 in 113 balls)  and Shimron Hetmyer (37 in 21 balls) brought the Windies back into the match. The stand was worth 56 from 38 balls. Ashley Nurse smashed 40 in 22 at the end to boost the Windies who posted 283-9.

Virat Kohli made his third successive ODI hundred (107) but he lacked support from the rest of the middle after Nurse took 2-43 and Samuels took 3-12 to bowl out the Indians.

West Indies 283 for 9 (Hope 95, Nurse 40, Bumrah 3-35) beat India 240 (Kohli 107, Samuels 3-12, McCoy 2-38) by 43 runs.
