Rain spoils decider after Ferguson dents Pakistan: 3rd ODI (Dubai)

Paceman Laurie Ferguson took five wickets but Pakistan and New Zealand had to share the honours after rain spoiled the third and final ODI leaving the series locked in 1-1.

New Zealand, chasing Pakistan’s total of 279 for 8 had scored 31 for 1 in 6.5 overs when rain halted play.

Earlier, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail all contributed with the bat before Lockie Ferguson took a career best 5-45 for a total of 11 wickets in the series.

Pakistan 279 for 8 (Babar 92, Fakhar 65, Haris 60, Ferguson 5-45) v New Zealand 35 for 1 (Worker 18*, Nicholls 15*, Shaheen 1-18).
