Hasan, Yasir trigger NZ collapse: 1st Test, Day 3 (Abu Dhabi)

Leg spinner Yasir Shah and paceman Hasan Ali gave Pakistan the edge against New Zealand as the visitors stumbled following a defiant fightback.

New Zealand were in command at 220-4 thanks to a 112-run stand between Bradley-John Watling and Henry Nicholls. Yasir (5-110) and Hasan (5-45) struck rapidly as six wickets tumbled for 29 runs restricting the target to 176.

Openers Imam Ul Haq and Mohammad Hafeez bagged without any issues to see Pakistan to 37-0 at stumps.

Pakistan 227 and 37 for 0 (Imam 25*, Hafeez 8*) need another 139 runs to beat New Zealand 153 and 249 (Watling 59, Nicholls 55, Hasan 5-45, Yasir 5-110).
