Cummins routs SL for 144: 1st Test, Day 1 (Gabba)

Wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella was defiant with the bat as debutant Jhye Richardson and Pat Cummins shared seven wickets to gain control of the first Test.

Dickwella (64) repaired some of the early damage as Richardson (3-26) and Cummins (4-39) bowled out Sri Lanka for 144 after the tourists elected to bat.

Batting without any concern under lights, Australia had cut the deficit to 72 runs at stumps.
