Foakes saves England blushes: Only ODI (Dublin)

Ben Foakes hit an unbeaten 61 and Sam Curran smashed 47 not out to rescue England and guide a win over Ireland by four wickets.

The Surrey pair came together when England were in peril at 101-6 to put on a 98 run stand for the 7th wicket.

Earlier, Ireland got off to a breezy start as Porterfield and Stirling put on 55 in 11.4 overs. They were bowled out for 198 as Plunkett took four wickets, with three for Curran.

The match was reduced to 45 overs per side after rain delayed start.

England 199 for 6 (Foakes 61*, Curran 47*, Little 4-45) beat Ireland 198 (Stirling 33, Plunkett 4-35, Curran 3-45) by four wickets.
