Hope, Campbell blast world record stand of 365: 1st Tri Nations ODI (Dublin)
Windies openers John Campbell and Shai Hope smashed the record for the highest partnership for the opening wicket with a stand of 365 against Ireland.
Campbell (179) and Hope (170) beat the previous opening partnership record of 304 set by Pakistan’s Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman against Zimbabwe in 2018.
Chasing 382, Ireland were knocked over for 185 with Kevin O'Brien top scoring with 68 as Ashley Nurse picked up 4-51.
West Indies 381 for 3 (Campbell 179, Hope 170, McCarthy 2-76) beat Ireland 185 (O'Brien 68, Nurse 4-51, Gabriel 3-44) by 196 runs.
