Hales, Roy record stand routs SL: 2nd ODI (Oval)

Openers Alex Hales and Jason Roy hit unbeaten centuries in the biggest ever total for a 10 wicket win in ODI history with 15.5 overs to spare in front of a capacity 23,000 crowd.

The 256 run stand was also England's best ODI stand for any wicket.

Earlier, Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Mathews shared a fourth-wicket stand of 82 to give their side a platform but leg-spinner Adil Rasheed (2-34) applied the brakes as they posted just 254-7.

England 256 for 0 (Hales 133*, Roy 112*) beat Sri Lanka 254 for 7 (Tharanga 53*, Chandimal 52, Mathews 44*) by ten wickets.
