Kiwis batter Afghanistan after Neesham strikes: 2019 WC#13 (Taunton)
All rounder James Neesham (5-31) knocked over Afghanistan for 172 as New Zealand won in a canter by 7 wickets.
Neesham (5-31) and Ferguson (4-37) had too much pace and bounce for the top and middle order of Afghanistan.
In reply, New Zealand reached their target with 17.5 overs to spare as Kane Williamson led the way with an unbeaten 79 from 99 balls.
New Zealand 173 for 3 (Williamson 79* Taylor 48, Alam 3-45) beat Afghanistan 172 (Shahidi 59, Neesham 5-31, Ferguson 4-37) by seven wickets.
