South Africa struggle after Rohit double ton: 3rd Test, Day 2 (Ranchi)

Opener Rohit Sharma struck his maiden double Test century as India dominated South Africa.

India declared on 497 for nine after Sharma made 212. He was involved in a 267-run fourth wicket partnership with Ajinkya Rahane who stroked 115.

The Indian pacemen soon had the tourists in trouble at nine for two before bad light stopped play early.

South Africa 9 for 2 (Shami 1-0, Umesh 1-4) trail India 497 (Rohit 212, Rahane 115, Linde 4-133) by 488 runs.
