Taylor shreds India in record chase: 1st ODI (Hamilton)

Veteran Ross Taylor was the star as a high scoring ODI ended with New Zealand picking up their first victory against the Indians on this tour.

NZ ran down 348 with seeming ease to record their highest successful chase in ODIs against India. Taylor once again played a central role in the victory, smashing an unbeaten 109 off 84 balls, his 21st ODI ton.

Earlier, Shreyas Iyer made his first international century and KL Rahul, whose big-hitting T20 form translated into another devastating innings as they took India to a massive 347-4.

New Zealand 348 for 6 (Taylor 109*, Nicholls 78, Latham 69, Yadav 2-84) beat India 347 for 4 (Iyer 103, Rahul 88*, Kohli 51, Southee 2-85) by four wickets.
