Australia dominate England after Carey rescue act: 2nd ODI (Leeds)

Alex Carey was the star as Australia beat England by 68 runs in the second one-day international at Headingley to go 2-0 up in a five-match series.

After an early collapse, Carey made a dashing 74, dominating a last-wicket stand of 49 with Josh Hazlewood that took Australia to 270 all out.

Chasing 271, England's top order was blown away by Australia's high-class pace-bowling attack. Newcomers Jamie Smith and Jacob Bethell attempted a rebuild from 65-5 as they added 45. Starc took 3-50 as England folded for 202.

Australia 270 (Carey 74, Marsh 60, Carse 3-75) beat England 202 (Smith 49, Starc 3-50) by 68 runs.
