Mendis and Perera deliver crushing series win over Windies: 3rd T20 (Dambulla)

Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera smashed half-centuries to guide Sri Lanka to a nine-wicket win and clinch the series over West Indies 2-1.

Mendis (68 not out) and Perera (55 not out) added an unbeaten 106 runs for the second wicket to seal the win. It was Sri Lanka’s first Twenty20 bilateral series win against the West Indies.

Earlier, spinners Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga took two wickets each as the Windies stumbled to 162-8.

Sri Lanka 166 for 1 (Kusal Mendis 68*, Kusal Perera 55*) beat West Indies 162 for 8 (Powell 37, Motie 32, Theekshana 2-19) by nine wickets.
