Jaiswal, Rahul masterclass dominates Australia: 1st Test, Day 2 (Perth)

Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul got India into a winning position in the first Test in Perth.

Rahul (62no) and Jaiswal (90no) combined for an unbeaten 172-run partnership as Australia failed to take any wickets in 2 sessions. This was the first century partnership for any Indian openers in Australia for over 20 years.

Earlier, Australia resuming at 67-7, were bowled out for 104 in the opening session, a first-innings deficit of 46. Jasprit Bumrah completed his five-wicket haul by removing Alex Carey with his first ball of the day.

India 150 and 172 for 0 (Jaiswal 90*, Rahul 62*) lead Australia 104 (Bumrah 5-30, Rana 3-48) by 218 runs.
