The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) is a tournament organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to determine the world champion in Test cricket, the longest and oldest format of the game.
In October 2017, the ICC announced that the format had been agreed upon by its Test playing members, which would involve the top nine teams playing series over two years with the top two teams qualifying for a World Test League Championship Final.
WTC league games are organized by the host nation's cricket board, whereas the final is organized directly by the ICC.
