Colin Guest was a tall, right-arm fast-medium bowler who represented Australia in the early 1960s.
Born in Melbourne in 1938, he played for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield, where his lively pace and ability to generate bounce made him a consistent performer.
Guest earned his sole Test cap during the 1962–63 Ashes series against England, stepping in when Australia needed additional bowling depth. Although his international career was brief, he was well regarded at state level for his wholehearted efforts and reliable performances with the new ball.
After retiring from first-class cricket, he remained connected to the game through coaching and mentoring roles in Victoria’s cricketing circles.
