
Brian Charles Rose (born June 4, 1950) is a former English cricketer renowned for his contributions as a left-handed opening batsman and captain for Somerset County Cricket Club, as well as his appearances for the England national team.
Rose played 9 Test matches and 2 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for England between 1977 and 1981. He debuted during the 1977–78 tours of Pakistan and New Zealand, stepping in when several players were unavailable due to their involvement in World Series Cricket.
After retiring, Rose remained active in cricket. He served as Somerset’s Director of Cricket, a role he held until 2012, contributing to the development and success of the county team during that period.
