Shakib Al Hasan: Lionheareted and fearless allrounder

ICC's No 1 ranked allrounder Shakib al-Hasan represents the heart of the Tigers.

He was first appointed Bangladesh's vice-captain in June 2009, a year that he was also named The Wisden Cricketer's "Test Player of the Year".

He then replaced an injured Mortaza as captain but in July 2010 he stepped down from the ODI captaincy to concentrate on his personal performance.

Shakib was subsequently banned by the ICC for match fixing offences in 2019.
