Pace rules as Seales knocks over Aussies for 180: 1st Test, Day 1 (Barbados)

Paceman Jayden Seales took five wickets as the West Indies dominated the First Test against Australia, before the tourists fought back late on in Barbados.

Seales took 5-60 in 15.5 overs to register his 3rd five-wicket haul in Tests.

A stabilsing partnership between Usman Khawaja (47 off 128) and Travis Head (59 off 78) added 85 runs, but once Khawaja fell, the innings unraveled. Australia lost their last seven wickets for just 69 runs.

Shamar Joseph chipped in with 4-46 to help the West Indies bowl the Aussies out for 180 in 56.5 overs.

In reply, left arm quick Mitchell Starc had Kraigg Brathwaite (4) and John Campbell (7) caught within the first seven overs as the Windies stumbled to 57-4 at stumps.

West Indies 57 for 4 (King 23*, Starc 2-35) trail Australia 180 (Head 59, Seales 5-60, S Joseph 4-46) by 123 runs.
