Taskin dismantles Pakistan in shock win: 1st T20 (Mirpur)

Veteran seamer Taskin Ahmed led the charge with a fiery spell in dismantling the Pakistan batting line-up as Bangladesh won by 7 wickets at Mirpur.

Taskin finished with three for 22 while Rahman grabbed two for 6 to dismiss the visitors in 19.3 overs. Pakistan’s 110 all out was its lowest total against Bangladesh.

In reply, Parvez smashed five sixes and three boundaries in his 39-ball 56 not out to help the home team chase down the target in 15.3 overs.

Bangladesh took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Bangladesh 112 for 3 (Parvez 56*, Hridoy 36, Mirza 2-17) beat Pakistan 110 (Fakhar 44, Afridi 22, Taskin 3-22) by seven wickets.
