Henry knocks over Zimbabwe for 125: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Bulawayo)

Paceman Matt Henry bowled with fire as Zimbabwe crumbled to just 125 in their first innings on day 1 at Bulawayo.

Brendan Taylor top-scored on his comeback with 44 and Tafadzwa Tsiga added 33. Henry led the bowling with an incisive 5 for 40, dismantling Zimbabwe’s fragile batting lineup.

In reply, New Zealand asserted control as openers Devon Conway (79*) and Will Young (74) put on a commanding 162-run partnership. Although Young fell late in the day, the visitors closed strongly at 174 for 1, already holding a 49-run lead and firmly in charge of the match.

New Zealand 174 for 1 (Conway 79*, Young 74, Gwandu 1-31) lead Zimbabwe 125 (Taylor 44, Henry 5-40, Foulkes 4-38) by 49 runs.
