Late Shanaka, Mishara blitz delivers SL win over Windies: 2nd T20 (Jamaica)

Sri Lanka levelled the three-match T20I series with an impressive 37-run victory over West Indies in the second match at Sabina Park.

After slipping to 43/3, the visitors rebuilt through Kamil Mishara, whose unbeaten 61 anchored the innings, before Dasun Shanaka unleashed a stunning counterattack. Shanaka blasted 58 from just 24 balls in a match-defining 103-run partnership with Mishara, propelling Sri Lanka to a challenging 194/6 from their 20 overs.

West Indies’ reply got off to the worst possible start as captain Shai Hope and Brandon King fell inside the opening two overs. Although Rovman Powell (43) and Shimron Hetmyer (36) launched a spirited recovery, Sri Lanka’s bowlers maintained control and struck at crucial moments.

Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga claimed three wickets apiece as the hosts were dismissed for 157 in 18.1 overs, setting up a series-deciding final T20I.

Sri Lanka 194 for 6 (Mishara 61*, Shanaka 58, Joseph 3-32) beat West Indies 157 (Powell 43, Chameera 3-9, Hasaranga 3-38) by 37 runs
