Robinson leads emphatic England win over Pakistan: 2nd Test, Day 4 (Lords)

Seamer Ollie Robinson snapped up 4 wickets as England completed a 194-run victory over Pakistan to take an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-Test series.

Resuming on 177/7, England were bowled out for 208, with Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas capping off an outstanding spell to finish with 5/57.

Set a daunting target of 389, Pakistan stumbled early to 14/3 before Saud Shakeel and Shan Masood mounted a brief fightback.

superb 97 offered Pakistan a glimmer of hope, but England’s pace attack proved too potent, ultimately dismantling the visitors for 194. Ollie Robinson was the standout performer, taking 4/24 to claim match figures of 8/35, while Josh Tongue and Jofra Archer chipped in with crucial breakthroughs.

The emphatic win seals England’s first home Test series victory since 2024, heading into the final Test at Edgbaston starting September 9.

England 290 (Smith 61, Cox 55, Abbas 4-73) and 208 (Lawrence 54, Abbas 5-57) beat Pakistan 110 (Awais 46, Robinson 4-11, Archer 3-26) and 194 for 9 (Shakeel 97, Robinson 4-24, Tongue 3-46, Archer 2-73) by 194 runs.
