Abhishek rewrites record books with 30-ball century (Delhi)

Abhishek Sharma produced a breathtaking performance in the third T20I against Afghanistan in New Delhi, smashing a 30-ball century, the fastest T20I hundred by an Indian batsman and the fastest in a match between two Full Member nations.

He reached his fifty from just 16 balls before accelerating further, eventually making 108 off 34 balls, with nine fours and 11 sixes.

Fastest T20I century by an Indian batter — 100 off 30 balls, breaking Rohit Sharma’s previous Indian record of 35 balls.

Fastest T20I century by a batter from a Full Member nation — breaking the previous 33-ball record jointly held by Sikandar Raza and Finn Allen.

Third-fastest century in men’s T20Is overall — behind Sahil Chauhan (27 balls) and Muhammad Fahad (29 balls).

Most runs in the first six overs of a men’s T20I — Abhishek scored 76 off 22 balls during the powerplay.
