Kirsten double ton in vain as Eng hang on for tense draw (1998)

Opener Gary Kirsten stroked 210 after South Africa won the toss and decided to bat. They posted a massive 552. England replied with a meagre 183 and followed on.

They managed to save the match after last pair Croft and Fraser defied the South Africans for 6 overs as England hung on to bat 171 overs to make 369-9.
